Event Details

Thomas Jefferson described the five years he lived in Paris as among the most memorable of his life. Many of Jefferson’s culinary preferences—that later earned him the nickname of “America’s founding foodie”—were formed during his time in France.

Join Monticello for a second virtual French brasserie cooking class with Monticello Farm Table Chef, David Bastide. Chef Bastide, a native of southern France, will prepare Le Bifteck (steak) as the entrée along with side dishes that feature ingredients grown and harvested from Monticello’s gardens. A delightful chou à la crème dessert will round out the meal.
