Among several other qualifications, American Single Malt Whiskey (ASM) must be made from 100% malted barley, mashed, distilled and matured in one distillery in oak casks. America, as a top barley producer globally, is uniquely qualified to distill malt whiskey, with the variety of terroir contributing to a range of flavor profiles.
